Planet Placement Tool
The planet placement tool is a tool originally created for the Development process of Yuuzhan Vong at War.
It allows you to quickly change the planet layout on the galaxy map, and re-size the galaxy map as a whole.



Features (V1.0.0.0)

  • Load planets from a number of XML files.
  • Load a galaxy background image as layout reference.
  • Loading/Saving of the project you're currently working on.
  • Moving planets.
  • Freely scale the galaxy map by setting the galaxy's radius in in-game units.



How to use

Creating a New Project

  • Name the project..
  • Choose a save location.
  • Choose planet files to import. You can multi-select several files within the same folder from within the "Open-File" dialogue..
  • Choose a background reference image..
  • Create the project.



Working on a Project

  • Hovering over planets tells you their name and their current galactic position.
  • To move planets select [1], then click-drag a planet to the desired location.
  • To change the galaxy's radius (affect the distance between planets) use [2], then update the scale by clicking [3].
  • To create a project use "File->New".
  • To save a project use "File->Save".
  • To open a project use "File->Open".
  • To apply the changes to your mod, use "Export->Planets"
