Tool to help with planet placement? [Migrated from ModDB]
« on: March 04, 2017, 02:48:48 pm »
I remember seeing ages ago that there was a tool on everythingeaw that helped with planet positioning in GC so trial and error wasn't as tedious. Does anyone know if there's another tool like that or if there's a site with a mirror download link?

The galaxy map can be treated as a 3d quadrilateral. If you wish to keep your planets on the minimap, the x and y ranges are approximately 800 in the horizontal range and 950 in the vertical range. Bearing in mind that all planets are taken from the centre point of 0,0,0, you can create a word, paint whatever file with these dimensions and plan out your planets accordingly.

With the loss of everythingeaw and filefront, it is unlikely that we will be able to recover the tool
